Advanced Training Programme for
Homoeopathic Doctors in dealing with all conditions related to mother and child
care was held from 2012 January 10th - 12th at KTDC Hotel "Tamarind",
Kollam.
This district level program was
a sequel to State level program conducted in 2010 at Thiruvananthapuram.
Homoeopathy for Healthy Mother and Happy
Child is an initiative by Central Council of Homoeopathy [CCRH], with
financial assistance from World Health Organisation [WHO] for imparting the scope
of Homoeopathy in dealing with the problems pertaining to Obstetrics,
Neonatology and Pediatrics to Homoeopaths.
Department of Homoeopathy, Kerala is obliged
to extend this objective of CCRH to all over the state and as part of its extension,
Kollam district program was inaugurated by Dr. K. Suresh, DMO (Homoeopathy),
Kollam. Faculties, trainees, conveners and officials were present during the inaugural
ceremony.
Trainees for this three day program were
selected from different sections of Homoeopathy including, department MO’s,
representatives of IHK, IHMA and Ayush.

topics were covered during this curriculum ranging from Normal Pregnancy and
care, Normal labor and complications during pregnancy, Ante natal care, Post
natal care, Complaints of new born and infants and Homoeopathic aspects in each
to name a few.
Three training manuals dealing with the Obstetrics,
Pediatrics and General topics and the Homoeopathic management, published by
CCRH were issued to the trainees one month prior to this program. The aim was to
prepare trainees in advance about the topics to be dealt with during the
program and also to make assignments which needed to be submitted initially.
Serene
ambiance, ideal arrangement and pleasant hospitality of Hotel employees made
the program venue a wonderful experience to one and all.
Pre-assessment
and Post-assessment tests, assignment submission, interactive sessions with the
faculties, revision of subjects, experience sharing by trainees, vote of thanks,
certificate distribution and finally photo sitting marked the end of a brilliant
seminar.
No
words will be enough to admire the pain taking efforts by Dr. Salim and Dr.
Meena for conducting this program in a well specialized manner.
